EMBRACE LIFE SCHOLARSHIP

Recepients will get between $50 to $200. SPN will direct our support of EMBACE LIFE projects or ideas that meet the EMBRACE LIFE   interests: suicide prevention (i.e. teaching the value of Embracing Life , self esteem, decision making, warning signs, etc., purchasing the Yellow Ribbon Program materials), suicide intervention (i.e., teaching materials or personal training of students or adults about how to assist a person who depressed or suicidal, etc) or suicide postvention (i.e. groups for grieving persons, purchase materials for individuals grieving) and to those projects likely to have a wide effect.  Purchasable Resources available from SPN at the shown discounted rates:    Books: Conquering the Beast Within ($11.00) or Hurting Yourself ($2.50).  Project Completion date must be BEFORE October 1, 2007.  S cholarship monies have been raised through a variety of projects since May, 2003 – most notably, the 4 th of July Marinette Celebration and the Menominee Waterfront, along with our Wal*Mart cookouts and the September Embrace Life Walk, which is the cornerstone of our events. GRADUATING SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP

The focus of the “Embrace Life” Graduating Seniors Scholarship is to recognize Graduating Seniors who are willing to dream and vision regarding suicide prevention and activities in their community.  The Suicide Prevention Network (SPN), serving Marinette and Menominee Counties, sponsors this award.  Recipients must be a graduating senior from Marinette and Menominee Counties.  The Graduating Senior selected will be honored with a certificate, news article, and a $500. cash award to be presented at their Senior Banquet. Get Nomination Form!
